MUSICIAN. HE WAS VERY HAPPY IN BAND AND HE LOVED IT TO PIECES. THE INITIAL REACTION WAS SPEECHLESS WHEN I HEARD THE WORDS, I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT AND I AM STILL WORKING TO TRY TO COMPREHEND THAT THIS IS REAL. OKLAHOMA CITY POLICE SAY A TEN YEAR OLD BOY WOKE UP MONDAY AND FOUND HIS FAMILY MASSACRED BY HIS FATHER. INVESTIGATORS SAY THAT MAN KILLED HIS WIFE, LINDSAY CANDY, BEFORE HUNTING DOWN THREE OF HIS KIDS. DYLAN, ETHAN AND LUCAS. DYLAN WAS THE OLDEST. THE EIGHT YEAR OLD WAS A STUDENT AT OBU LAST SEMESTER AND PLAYED IN THE BAND. THE UNIVERSITY SHARED THIS PICTURE OF DYLAN AND PRAYED FOR GOD’S COMFORT. OBU’S, DIRECTOR OF ATHLETIC BANDS, TOLD KOCO DYLAN WAS A GIFTED DRUMMER AND ENERGETIC STUDENT. HE SHARED THIS MEMORY OF DYLAN. WE WERE WORKING ON OUR DRUM CADENCE. WE GOT TO A PART WHERE DYLAN HAD A PARTICULAR, UH, DENSE RHYTHMIC FIGURE. HE PLAYED IT VERY WELL AND IN THAT MOMENT HE REALIZED THAT THAT WAS A SOLO AND HIS EYES LIT UP LIKE DINNER PLATES, AND HE HAD A SMILE FROM EAR TO EAR. HE WAS SO EXCITED. AND IN THAT MOMENT YOU SAW TRUE, UNADULTERATED HAPPINESS. IT’S A MOMENT THAT I THINK ABOUT OFTEN. LINDSAY WAS A 2002 GRADUATE FROM PRAGUE HIGH SCHOOL. HER CLASSMATES SHARED THIS PICTURE OF THEIR GRADUATING CLASS, CLASSMATES SAY SHE WAS A GIRL. EVERYONE WANTED TO BE KIND, BEAUTIFUL, AND FUNNY. NOW THE FAMILY HAS PUT OUT A GOFUNDME TO SUPPORT THAT TEN YEAR OLD LITTLE BOY FOR UNKNOWN REASONS, WAS SPARED FROM THIS TRAGEDY. THE FUNDS WILL ALSO GO TOWARDS FUNERAL EXPENSES AND COUNSELING.

A massacre inside a Yukon home earlier this week has left the community reeling after police said a man killed his wife and three of his sons before turning the gun on himself.One son, however, walked away unharmed and called 911 after discovering his five family members' bodies Tuesday morning at a home near Southwest 29th Street and Czech Hall Road.The oldest son, 18-year-old Dylan Candy, was a student at Oklahoma Baptist University last semester and played in the band."He was very happy in band and he loved it to pieces," OBU Band Director Brian Stackhouse said. "The initial reaction was speechless. When I heard the words, I couldn't believe it. We got to a part where Dylan had a particular dense rhythmic figure, and he played it very well," Stackhouse said while recalling a memory of the 18-year-old. "In that moment, he realized that that was a solo. His eyes lit up like dinner plates, and he had a smile from ear to ear. He was so excited. And in that moment, you saw true, unadulterated happiness."Lindsay was a 2002 graduate from Prague High School.
